I am professional income tax practitioner who has dealt with numerous DTC applications over the years.In 2018 I was asked by a client to assist her in making a DTC application on behalf of her son who had basically been impaired on a number of levels since birth.We submitted a well documented application along with letters from two specialists. Our application was twice rejected.At our wits end, in 2019 we engaged the services of Fay Gershgorin, Occupational Therapist to review the client's medical history, specialists’ letters and the core application. Fay reviewed our documents, met with the client & her son, and assessed his impairments. She diligently worked on a brand-new application based on her area of expertise assessing our client functioning with his ADL's with regards to the effects of his impairment.To make a long story short, the CRA approved this 3rd application in less then 4 weeks!We have only Fay to thank for our success.
